Crowned in Gold: Celebrating 30 Years of the Miss Gay Harrisonburg Pageant

The Miss Gay Harrisonburg Pageant returns on October 3, 2026 for a milestone celebration: the 30th Annual Miss Gay Harrisonburg Pageant. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the pageant begins at 7:00 PM.

This year’s theme, “Crowned in Gold,” honors three decades of drag excellence, LGBTQ+ pride, community, and unforgettable pageantry. For 30 years, Miss Gay Harrisonburg has been more than a competition. It has been a stage for artistry, confidence, resilience, and representation.

Produced by Rhinestone Productions in partnership with Shenandoah Valley Pride Alliance, the pageant has crowned generations of extraordinary queens and helped create a legacy worth celebrating. This golden anniversary is a tribute to every queen, performer, former titleholder, organizer, and community member who has helped shape Miss Gay Harrisonburg into what it is today.

Guests can expect a night filled with glitz, glamour, golden elegance, and unforgettable performances as contestants compete for the crown. From evening gown to on-stage question, color fashion, and main talent, each category will showcase the poise, creativity, and stage presence that define Miss Gay Harrisonburg.

As Miss Gay Harrisonburg celebrates 30 years, the pageant also honors the Formers who helped build its history. Each former titleholder carries a piece of the legacy, and together they represent decades of visibility, artistry, leadership, and pride.
