J.P Gulla

J.P. "Big Daddy" Gulla is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of The Gay United States Pageantry System, LLC, a prominent organization within the LGBTQI community that offers national pageantry competitions across seven distinct divisions. Under his leadership, the system has expanded to include categories such as Mr. and Miss Gay United States, Mr. and Miss Gay United States At Large, Mister Gay United States M.I. (Male Impersonator), Miss Gay United States Femme Fatale, and Gay United States ICON.


Gulla's involvement with the pageantry system began in 2008 when Big Daddy Productions, a Washington, D.C.-based company he was associated with, started promoting for The Gay United States Pageantry System. By October 2010, Big Daddy Productions had acquired a portion of the system, leading to the formation of additional divisions and the inclusion of transgender entertainers in various categories. In June 2012, Gulla and other board members established The Gay United States Pageantry System, LLC, which now oversees all operations and continues to uphold a commitment to excellence, honesty, and integrity in LGBTQI entertainment.


Affectionately known as "Big Daddy," Gulla is celebrated for his dedication to fostering a family-like atmosphere within the pageantry community. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding the system's reach, with preliminary pageants held in over 25 states and a growing number of energetic promoters and contestants nationwide.


Gulla's vision for The Gay United States Pageantry System is to provide high-quality, fair, and competitive platforms for entertainers in the art of male entertainment, female illusion, female entertainment, and male illusion. Through his leadership, the system continues to offer entertainers the opportunity to compete for national titles and represent their communities with pride and excellence.
